Why do guests stay 5 hours at a reception? Is it the memory of a delicious meal or the flowers along around the church? People will stay for the celebration only if they are having fun. But there is more to a great wedding DJ or band than just a party DJ or band. Your wedding will have formalities that an experienced Master of Ceremonies will help coordinate. Introducing the bridal party, announcing the toast, and directing people to the cake cutting are just the beginning of the wedding reception schedule. Make sure your disc jockey or band has the experience to lead the day and the style you want to work with throughout your reception. Keep in mind all the different people at your wedding. A good entertainer will play music for everyone. Not all disc jockeys and bands are cheesy or obnoxious. You can find an outgoing performer, or a low-key emcee, but make sure you know the personality of the person behind the microphone is what you want for your big day.
